Tyrus Hinton began his career in property management in 2015, initially gaining valuable experience in maintenance before transitioning to the office team in 2019. His diverse skill set and dedication to the industry led him to join Kane Realty as the Assistant Property Manager of The Reverie in 2023. Tyrus is also a CAM (Certified Apartment Manager), showcasing his advanced knowledge and expertise in property management.
Originally from Queens, Tyrus relocated to North Carolina. Outside of work, Tyrus is passionate about traveling, enjoys quality time with his two children, and is an avid cook. He is also committed to giving back to the community through his involvement with various non-profit organizations.
Michael Hester is the Senior Residential Manager of The Eastern and Park Central Apartments in the exciting Park District of North Hills. In this area management role, he leads the day-to-day initiatives, operations, tracks key performance metrics, and completes all financial reporting for the two assets. Getting to lead a large team of associates is one of the highlights of his day, with the goal of providing the best resident experience and achieving strong financial performance. Michael joined Kane Realty in 2024, bringing over 17 years of expertise in the real estate industry throughout various markets. He began his property management career in the student housing sector in 2006 in Chapel Hill, NC.
Prior to joining Kane Realty team, Michael spent the last 10 years with Cortland Partners, Hawthorne Residential, and KPM Carolinas. His knowledge of multi-site and high-rise residential stems from working in Chicago, IL, where he worked for Draper & Kramer and Madison Apartment Group in the downtown Chicago market.
Michael grew up in Hillsborough, NC, and moved to Raleigh in 2012. He is a graduate of UNC Greensboro with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology. Michael obtained his Certified Apartment Manager designation in 2007, NC Broker’s license in 2014, and is also a Notary Public. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with family and friends, live music, home improvement projects, discovering the next abandoned mansion on YouTube, and his sweet dog, Pippa.
Carisa Jeffries is the Residential Property Manager of MoJud Lofts, a 173-unit community in Greensboro, NC. Carisa brings 20 years of multifamily experience to the Kane Realty team, having worked in multiple diverse markets, from West Virginia to Washington, DC to the Triad.
Hailing from Morgantown, WV, Carisa loves to travel; her favorite vacation destinations are Las Vegas and Jekyll Island, GA. She is a notary public and the secretary of the Western Alamance High School PTO.
Outside of work, Carisa enjoys spending time with her spouse and two daughters, and teaching Sunday School at Gospel Tabernacle United Holiness Church. She wakes up with the intention of impacting at least one person in a positive way every day.
Becky Priester is the Residential Property Manager of The Row, a 335-unit mixed-use community located in Rockway, a new district of Downtown Raleigh. Becky began her career with Kane Realty as an intern on the Residential Property Management team in 2018, and she has served in multiple roles at many different properties since then. Most recently, she was the residential property manager of Park Central.
Becky graduated from UNCW with a degree in finance and a minor in psychology, and she is a notary public. Prior to joining Kane Realty, she worked on the accounting team for a commercial real estate firm. Born and raised in Raleigh, Becky enjoys trying all the new local restaurants and bars in her free time.
Kristen Stedman is a Portfolio Manager on the residential property management team; in this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations for all multifamily assets within her assigned portfolio. Kristen joined Kane Realty in 2023, bringing over 13 years’ experience in the multifamily industry, primarily in new construction lease-ups and large-scale value-add renovations.
Prior to joining the Kane Realty team, Kristen worked in business development, and she has a passion for building long-term relationships within the multifamily community. She serves on the Triangle Apartment Association’s Membership Committee, and she is also a Notary Public.
Kristen is a North Carolina native and has lived in Raleigh for over 20 years. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors with her husband Scott, daughter Emma, and German short-haired pointer named Sophie. She also enjoys spending time renovating their 1960s ranch home.
Jordan Lander is the Residential Property Manager of The Reverie at Lake Boone, a 316-unit community in Raleigh. She began her property management career in the student housing industry in 2019, and she joined the Kane Realty team as Assistant Property Manager of The Reverie in 2022.
Jordan is originally from Lorain, Ohio, and she moved to Raleigh in 2020. She is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio), with a degree in supply chain and a minor in Chinese. In her spare time, Jordan enjoys painting, drawing, and crocheting. She can also be found walking the art museum trails with her one-year-old puppy, Winston.
As a Senior Marketing Specialist, Valentina provides oversight of the marketing, branding, digital strategy, and community outreach efforts for Kane Realty’s portfolio of residential apartment communities. She works closely with the Director of Marketing and Resident Experience to implement the company’s vision of a consistently exceptional customer experience across all of our assets.
Valentina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts & Art History from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY. In addition, she was part of a collective, Urban Studio, at Art Basel for 6 years executing installations at various exhibits/galleries. Prior to joining Kane Realty, she worked in the multifamily industry as an Assistant Property Manager.
She was born and raised in New York City and relocated to Raleigh, NC in 2015 where she currently resides. Outside of work, Valentina enjoys cooking, painting, reading, and outdoor activities.
Vivien joined Kane Realty in 2020 and served as an Assistant Property Manager and a Property Manager before being promoted into her current role of Software and Operations Manager. In this position, Vivien implements, conducts training, and facilitates all property management software systems for Kane Realty’s Residential Property Management team. She also coordinates all policies and procedural systems and maintains documentation and compliance for all areas of property management operations.
Through a referral, Vivien started her career as a Leasing Professional at a well-established property in 2015. She quickly found her passion in real estate, and in the years since, has worked at various luxury communities from lease-up to stabilization in the Raleigh, Cary, and Morrisville submarkets. Vivien attended North Carolina State University and is a proud member of the Wolfpack. She is an active member of the Triangle Apartment Association and a board member of the Glenwood South Neighborhood Collaborative.
Since moving from California to North Carolina in 2003, Vivien has embraced her southern side and is now living in Raleigh with her husband and two cats. In her free time, Vivien enjoys reading, playing board games, trying new foods, and volunteering for the Vietnamese American Association of Raleigh.
As a portfolio manager at Kane Realty, Amanda oversees the day-to-day operations, leasing strategy and execution, resident relations and team development for all assets within her assigned portfolio.
Amanda began her career in the multifamily industry as a part-time leasing agent in Charlotte, NC and has managed a variety of different residential and mixed-use assets. Prior to joining Kane Realty, Amanda worked for TriBridge Residential as an area manager. She oversaw multiple assets across North Carolina within the Charlotte, Piedmont Triad, and Triangle markets. Amanda is an active member of the AANC, affiliated with both The Next Generation Committee and Task Force Committee.
Amanda was born and raised in New York City and relocated to the South East. She now resides in Raleigh, the city she proudly calls home. In her free time Amanda enjoys playing tennis and staying active!
