Kane Realty Announces New Retailer Coming to Downtown Raleigh’s West End

Kane Realty Corporation is excited to announce that Homebody Yoga and Wellness, founded by Emily Winters, will open its flagship studio in Downtown Raleigh. Located below Platform Apartments, this highly anticipated addition is set to open its doors by early 2025, marking an exciting milestone for both Emily Winters and the growing West End neighborhood.

“We are thrilled to welcome Homebody Yoga and Wellness as our first retail tenant at Platform,” said Stacey Buescher, Managing Director of Operations for Kane Realty Corporation. “Emily Winters’ vision for a community-centered yoga studio aligns perfectly with our goals for the West End neighborhood. We believe this flagship location will become a cornerstone for community engagement and wellness in Downtown Raleigh.”

Homebody Yoga and Wellness is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for yoga practitioners. Emily Winters envisions guests walking to class, mingling in the spacious lobby and fostering community connections. The studio will offer various hot yoga sessions and specialized classes to cater to diverse community needs.

Known for its successful pop-up event series, Homebody Yoga has already established strong community ties and raised $50,000 in six weeks through a community crowdfunding campaign. Emily Winters’ teaching background includes six years of teaching and 18 years of practicing, with influences from Baptiste Power Vinyasa, Awakening Yoga, and Flow School. The flagship location will feature a 2,500 SF space with a spacious open lobby featuring multiple comfy nooks for mingling, a large L-bench seating with storage, and a communal vanity area. The interior design incorporates natural wood elements, colors inspired by clay, dirt, coral reef, and sky, and limewash paint for a subtle natural texture. A 1,200 SF yoga studio will accommodate over 50 people and feature infrared heating, natural lighting, and no mirrors. Additionally, the studio will offer specialty wellness services such as massage, life coaching, and reiki.

“Being able to flow and breathe in a room alongside 50 other people, synced with the same purpose, is something I think everyone should experience at least once”, said Winters. “It’s an energy that is hard to truly explain, but that communal quality is something I think everyone is really craving right now.”

Homebody Yoga will host two free outdoor community classes in the courtyard of Platform Raleigh on July 13th at 10am and July 31st at 6pm. Sign-up details are available here. For more information on Homebody Yoga, visit their website at homebodync.com or follow them on Instagram.

Additionally, Events by Heather has announced the inaugural West End Pop-Up Market, set to take place on July 26th from 4-8pm in Platform’s large, central courtyard. This event will feature an evening filled with live music performances, food trucks, local vendors, a unique sip-and-shop experience, and engaging workshops. The market will further activate this burgeoning area of Downtown and showcase the West End’s vibrant culture and community spirit.
