The Strand High-Rise in North Hills

Construction Begins on The Strand, a 20-story Mixed-Use Tower

In partnership with Mitsui Fudosan America (MFA), Kane Realty Corporation has officially broken ground on The Strand, a 20-story mixed-use residential tower—marking a significant milestone in the ongoing evolution of North Hills. Kane Realty has long envisioned this site as part of its thoughtfully planned mixed-use district, reinforcing the broader vision for North Hills and Midtown Raleigh.

Positioned adjacent to Advance Auto Parts Tower and with unimpeded views of North Hills and Downtown Raleigh, The Strand will introduce 362 luxury residences, including exclusive penthouse homes, and nearly 9,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. Intentionally designed to blend modern aesthetics with seamless functionality, the building’s welcoming promenade will feature wide sidewalks ideal for outdoor dining and enhanced pedestrian activity. A dedicated drop-off and ride-share area and a retail-friendly parking deck will further integrate The Strand into the fabric of North Hills.

The Strand’s introduction of modern luxury residences and destination-worthy retail further solidifies North Hills as Raleigh’s premier urban living experience. “As Raleigh continues to grow, demand for high-quality housing remains strong—especially in North Hills,” said Rob Reid, Managing Director of Residential at Kane Realty Corporation. “The Strand will provide a distinctive residential experience that blends modern luxury, top-tier amenities, and seamless connectivity to everything North Hills offers.”

“We are excited about The Strand and its impact on North Hills and the Raleigh market as the region continues to establish itself as a stronghold for growth and investment,” said Kallie Walker, Director of Development at Kane Realty Corporation.

The Strand is expected to welcome the first residents in the summer of 2027. Plans for a second phase of development on the site are already underway.
