As a Property Accountant, Marissa Rodriguez performs month-end close activities and prepares financial statements for a portfolio of Kane Realty’s residential properties. After beginning her career in property accounting, Marissa transitioned to construction and development accounting for Cape Fear Commercial before joining the Kane Realty team in 2025.
Marissa earned a degree in Finance from UNC Wilmington, and she is licensed as a NC Real Estate broker. In her free time, she loves to go to the beach, play video games, and hang out with friends.
As a Senior Property Accountant at Kane Realty Corporation, Linda oversees the financial reporting for a portfolio of Kane-managed properties, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness across all accounting functions. She brings a diverse professional background and a global perspective to her role.
Before transitioning into accounting, Linda began her career in education, teaching English in Japan and working in international education in China. She later moved into the financial world, gaining experience as an auditor at a large public accounting firm and working in both corporate and fund accounting at a prominent private equity real estate firm.
Linda holds a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, where she studied Comparative Literature, Chinese, and Entrepreneurship, and earned her Master of Science in Accountancy from UNC as well. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Now based in Raleigh, Linda enjoys traveling, dancing, spending time with friends and family, and discovering new cafes and restaurants around the city.
Chelsea France brings a strong foundation in tax compliance and client-focused service to her role as Senior Accountant at Kane Realty Corporation. She began her accounting career in public tax before transitioning into the property management industry, where she supported a portfolio of over 250 properties across the Midwest. Her experience spans both property and corporate accounting, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the financial operations that drive successful real estate management.
Chelsea earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Accounting from SUNY Brockport in upstate New York and is currently studying for the CPA exam.
Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and discovering new places. She values time with friends and family and loves going on adventures with her puppy, Chase.
As FP&A Manager at Kane Realty, Alex is responsible for expanding and enhancing the financial planning and analysis function across real estate assets, investment funds, and corporate entities. His work supports the company’s financial and operational strategy, helping drive informed decision-making and long-term growth.
Before joining Kane Realty, Alex gained valuable experience as an analyst at Velosio and Locus Biosciences, where he developed a strong background in financial and operational strategy. He also worked as an auditor at Johnson Lambert, focusing primarily on the insurance industry.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Accounting from NC State University and is a CPA in North Carolina.
A Fayetteville, NC native, Alex now lives in Raleigh with his wife. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, fly fishing in the North Carolina mountains, and spending time with friends and family.
Tracy works as a Senior Property Accountant for Kane Realty. She oversees the financial reporting for the North Hills property as well as some third-party assets. Prior to working at Kane Realty, Tracy worked as an accountant for various companies in the Healthcare industry.
Tracy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Fayetteville State University. She is an avid runner and loves being outdoors. Tracy has 3 children that she is very proud of. One teaches college, another is in his second year of his accounting career and the other will graduate from ECU next May and wants to be a high school Biology Teacher.
Jenny works as a Corporate Accountant for Kane Realty. She prepares, reviews and analyzes financial reports, manages cash flow and oversees billing for Kane Realty corporate and operating entities. Prior to joining Kane, Jenny worked managing all accounting and office duties for a Raleigh law firm while raising her three children.
Jenny holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from University of Georgia with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance. She resides in Raleigh with her husband and three children. Outside of work Jenny enjoys cooking, being active and spending time with family and friends.
Amanda works as an Accounts Payable Specialist at Kane Realty. As an Accounts Payable Specialist she processes the payments for the various corporate entities and the company credit cards.
Before joining Kane Realty, Amanda was Senior Accounts Payable accountant at The Sobrato Organization for 8 years. She processed all payables for the property management, development, and construction teams, as well as the corporate entities.
Amanda holds an A.A degree in Accounting from Heald College.
Amanda enjoys camping with her family, exploring Raleigh and the surrounding areas, and crafting with her Cricut.
Sara began working for Kane in 1984 and for a many years was the only accounting person for the company. She has performed most of the
jobs in accounting dept from financial statements to banks recs to processing payroll. With the growth of the company and the addition of properties, there was a need for someone to focus on managing our bank accounts so she has moved into a Treasury Manager role. She works with the banks to set up new accounts for our properties, close accounts, order supplies and handle various other bank related issues.
Before moving to Raleigh area in 1983, she worked for Steven Bell Company for 6 years in accounting. She was fortunate to be hired by JM Kane & Company when there were only 6 employees. So most of her work life has been with this company watching it grow from a company that managed and leased property to a company that has changed the city.
Sara enjoys watching movies with her husband Chris, and spending time out on the back porch watching the beagles, Molly and Ginger.
As a Property Accountant, Zach performs month-end close activities and financial statement preparations for a mix of Kane Realty’s residential and commercial properties. He also manages cash balances and delivers timely payment to vendors.
Prior to joining the Kane Realty team in 2023, Zach worked as a staff accountant at Allucent, managing accounts receivable and collections activity for all North American subsidiaries. He also prepared month-end GL account reconciliations and bank reconciliations across several business units.
Zach holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from SUNY New Paltz. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and is striving to visit each of the National Parks. He also spends his free time cooking, reading (especially science fiction) and traveling.
As Payroll and Benefits Specialist, Mary is responsible for the administration of all functions of the payroll processing, employee insurance and 401(k) benefits for all of the Kane Realty entities. Mary also is the Accountant for the North Hills East HOAs.
Prior to joining Kane Realty in January 2019, Mary worked for 27 years for the largest independent propane company in Connecticut, where she was the Payroll and Benefits Administrator for five branches and was also a Branch Accountant.
Originally from Fairfield, Connecticut, Mary and her husband relocated to North Carolina in 2006 to be closer to their grandchildren. They have two daughters, three grandchildren and a golden retriever named Holly. Mary and her husband spend much of their free time attending their grandson and granddaughter’s baseball and lacrosse games, and they enjoy spending time each summer with their family at Emerald Isle Beach. Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and baking, especially when it is with her two granddaughters.
