Kane Realty Corporation was the first developer in the region to create what is truly a mixed-use property combining office, retail, residential and entertainment with hotel and senior living components. Kane creatively recycled North Hills Mall, the state's first two level-enclosed mall, by employing the principles of smart growth and neo-urbanism and launching Midtown Raleigh. Kane's North Hills development is doubling its size to include a senior living community along with more office, residential, hotel, retail and restaurant opportunities as well as significant green space. This expansion will make North Hills one of the largest redevelopment districts in the country.
